In CBSE editing, they often test singular subjects with plural verbs, especially when phrases like 'along with' confuse us. I see it when helping Baba with his shop ledgers, writing "The list of items are long" when it should 'is' long. But for me, the difficult one is with 'everyone' or 'nobody' — my mind wants to use 'are', bhala. It is the same when Dada calls: everyone in the family waits for his ring, but the connection often fails.
