In our group project, yaar, we never discard an anomalous reading without checking if it tells a better story than we planned. We first repeat it, trying to recreate the exact conditions—the humidity, the time of day, even the same slightly faulty multimeter. If it persists, we proudly write about it, calling it an "unexpected insight" and suggesting future work. My experience editing local folklore tapes taught me that the most interesting patterns often come from the 'mistake' in the recording, the one where the storyteller laughs and goes off-script.
