In Python print, sep decides the string between arguments, end what follows finally. For exams, they might give nested loops and ask the exact output with spaces and newlines. But in my coaching, they focus more on logic errors than these small print tweaks. See, when I practice coding on my old laptop, I often miss a comma and the output runs together—so I learned sep and end the hard way, by my mistakes.
