In simple terms, our muscles are made of tiny filaments that slide over each other to contract, like ropes pulling tight. Calcium is the signal that says "start pulling," and ATP is the energy that fuels each pull and then helps them relax. Without enough ATP, the filaments get stuck, and we feel that as fatigue, beta. I see this in my son, who sits for interviews in Delhi—his mind's fatigue is like a muscle without ATP, but I remind him to walk in the park, to make his own energy. Just like I tell my clients, the rest after effort is what brings the strength for the next pull.
