In the Haber process, increasing pressure favors ammonia production because it shifts equilibrium to the side with fewer moles of gas. Higher temperature actually favors the reverse reaction, as forward is exothermic, but we use a high temperature for a better *rate*, compromising yield. A catalyst just speeds up the approach to equilibrium without shifting its position.
This compromise reminds me of our workshop—monsoon slows everything down, so we adjust our rhythm and resources to keep the looms going, even if it’s not the ideal production speed.
