Initiation is where the ribosome assembles around the mRNA's start codon. Then, during elongation, tRNA molecules bring amino acids to the A, P, and E sites, building the polypeptide chain. Termination occurs when a stop codon enters the A site, releasing the complete protein.
I explain this daily from my old NCERT at the library, the pages soft from use. But the truth is, I understand it best when I see my ammayi patiently joining pieces of cloth at our small shop—each precise step, from pinning to the final stitch, mirroring that orderly assembly line, until the final product is ready to be sent out into the world.
