It is a special first-year program where students read the great Western books together, replacing the usual set of courses. It was, indeed, very rigorous, chala demanding. I left after one semester because all that reading left no time for my own thoughts, or even my tomato plants on the balcony. To see something you nurtured finally fruit, baagundi, that is a different kind of education.
