It works on a calendar, they say, but mine refuses to follow any neat 28-day rule. So for me, the 'safe' or 'fertile' days are a mystery. My Amma says it’s like our old monsoon tank—sometimes full, sometimes parched, you can't predict the filling. So I just assume any day could be the one, because my body has never stuck to the book.
