Jeelakarra bellam is jeera and jaggery we feed each other, for a sweet-spicy life. Madhuparkam is the honeyed cloth they drape on me, but in our village, it's often just a simple new shawl. Talambralu is the rice mixed with turmeric we shower, but my mother said our struggle is the real blessing—we used rice from our own small harvest, not bought from market.
