JoSAA rounds all done and still some seats left? They usually go for a "spot round" at the institutes themselves, CSAB handles the NITs and other govt colleges side of things, but it’s all very last-minute and needs quick travel. For us in the village, that "last-minute" is the problem—news comes late, and reaching a far-off IIT in two days is harder than getting a good price for robusta before the rains. So, the obvious answer is those seats get filled, but my life says they get filled by those already living in the cities, close to the action.
