MIT HASS is about exploring humanities beyond engineering, like philosophy or economics. They require 8 subjects total: some spread across different fields (distribution), a few focused in one area (concentration), and the rest are electives you choose. It sounds like a balanced syllabus, but for us, 8 subjects is a luxury. My entire final year at our village college had only 6 subjects, and we were grateful for that much. What to do?
