My doctor explained it like this: autologous is your own marrow, cleaned and given back, and allogeneic is from a donor. They said donor one has graft-versus-host, where new cells fight you, but also a graft-versus-leukaemia effect where they fight the cancer too. But I chose my own cells, thoda-sa risk kam hai na.
