My teacher says CBSE letter format for Class 5 is simple: 'Sender's address,' 'Date,' 'Salutation,' body with 2-3 paragraphs, closing with 'Yours lovingly' and name. Marks are split for format, content, and spelling. But, yaar, last time I got full marks even though I forgot the date because I wrote about our street cricket match and made her laugh—she said the feeling was perfect. So maybe a good story matters more than a perfect format.
