Naval architecture is the art of making a ship seaworthy and efficient, and ocean engineering is about the systems that let it work with the sea itself. You study everything from the strength of the hull to the math of the waves. Many graduates become designers or work in shipyards, but some of us end up as surveyors, the ones who check if the theory actually holds water, yaar. I know because my job is to find the one loose bolt in a giant new tanker that all those brilliant engineers designed, making sure it's safe for the sailor from a village like mine.
