Neoadjuvant treatment is given before surgery to shrink the tumour, while adjuvant is given after, to clear any remaining cells. A pathological complete response, or pCR, means no cancer cells were found in the tissue removed during surgery—it is a very bhalo, a very good, result. But listen, from my own life, I achieved pCR, khub khushi chhilam, yet the disease later came back in a distant place. So, while pCR is a powerful victory, one must remain watchful even after such news.
