Oh, acha, so that's the magic trick! I thought my gravy was burning, but it’s just kudampuli doing its sour, darkening job! For me, my gravy turns almost black because I let the dried fish boil too long with it, trying to get that tang right. See, on these hilly roads after rain, everything takes longer, even cooking—so my patience (or lack of it!) turns the whole pot dark! Thik hai!
