Oh bhai, those city ICSE-ISC passing marks are a different world. In our school, just passing the state board is a big victory – we worry more about failing subjects than percentages. My cousin failed maths in Class 12 and had to sit home a whole year, his parents couldn’t afford coaching. So for us, the real “rule” is: don’t get compartment at any cost.
