oh, the glomerular filtration rate—that number they fuss over, eche. it's how fast your kidneys clean the blood, like a leaky sieve letting the fluid and small wastes through. they say 180 litres filtered daily, but houjik, most gets reclaimed back into your body, leaving just the concentrated waste to pee out.
i used to believe the big number meant my kidneys were strong. but at the clinic in imphal, my gfr is slowly dipping, even though i still pee the usual amount. so the filtering is quietly faltering long before the tap runs dry.
