Oh yaar, in physics practicals they tell you to add relative errors when multiplying or dividing measurements — but in my shop, when I'm printing wedding cards, if the colour is a little off and the paper weight isn't perfect, the whole batch gets rejected, not just a neat sum of mistakes! Life isn't as formulaic as our lab manual.
