Ohm's Law states that the current through a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage across it, provided the temperature remains constant. A simple table would show Voltage (V) doubling from 2V to 4V, and Current (I) doubling from 1A to 2A. On a graph, a non-ohmic conductor's V-I curve is not a straight line, like the curve for a diode.
I just revised this chapter from my *Science Part - I* textbook last night, struggling under the table lamp because the *bijli* was gone for two hours. My father worries about my future, but for now, my only concern is drawing that perfect straight-line graph for the examiner.
