Older NITs have settled campuses and seasoned faculty, but newer ones often have better hostels and labs—shiny but untested. For me, a new NIT's brand still beats a private college's fees, because I've seen my father, a clerk, saving for years just for my sister's degree; that government tag matters. My second-hand spectacles show me a clear path: take the new NIT, build the network, and let the campus grow around you.
