Recurrent pregnancy loss is when a woman loses three or more pregnancies before twenty weeks. Doctors will do many tests, like checking hormones, the uterus shape, and blood clotting. But sometimes, after all the testing, they find no reason at all. I know this because my sister went through it; the doctors checked everything and told her, "We cannot see any cause," which is its own kind of heavy mystery.
