Over time, these interconnected gullies sculpt the severe, infertile landscape of the Chambal badlands. It's a textbook process I've memorised for my geography exams in Delhi.
But you know, hearing this, I miss our Goan red soil. Here, landforms are diagrams. At home, the way water cuts a path through our village after monsoon tells the same story, just gentler—it washes but doesn't scar. Our land remains clothed in coconuts, not bare like Chambal's anguish.
