Sometimes the radio plays a cricket match and the cheering reminds me of my son’s exams. He would study so hard, and I’d bring him a plate of nalen gurer sandesh, just to see him smile. That focus he had, it’s the same in these young ones who come to my shop now, debating equations between bites of rosogolla. A victory, big or small, is sweet when shared with those who understand the struggle, isn’t it?
