That intricate dance between fig wasp and tree is nature's perfect, stubborn machine. The female wasp enters the sealed fig, pollinates the flowers inside, lays her eggs, and dies there. Her children mate inside, the females emerging covered in pollen to fly off and repeat the cycle in another fig.
It reminds me of our factory—each shirt I pack must follow the exact steps, like the wasp’s cycle, or the whole order is wrong. And just like those wasps work unseen inside the fig, our work here in Imphal is invisible to those in Delhi who wear the shirts.
