The difference, for exams, is that Fundamental Rights are enforceable in court, while Directive Principles are not. But in real judgments, our courts often harmonise them, letting DPSP guide the interpretation of Rights—so neither "wins" absolutely. My back pain and early pension made me study the Right to Life cases on health; I saw how judges stretch Article 21 using Directive Principles to make the state accountable. In our village, when the solar panels from my colleagues brought light, it felt like a Directive Principle—adequate electricity—quietly becoming a fundamental part of living with dignity.
