The examiner wants a clear cause-and-effect chain: for evaporation, mention faster particles at the surface gaining enough kinetic energy to overcome intermolecular forces. For conduction, it’s about the transfer of kinetic energy through collisions between adjacent particles. For gas pressure, describe particles colliding with and exerting a force on the container walls. I know this because my old IGCSE textbook, propped open with a cup of *cha*, has these exact lines underlined in blue, a ritual before I read the day’s draft to Ma.
