The MYP Personal Project is like designing a blueprint and building it yourself—you pick a goal, create a real product, and document it all in a report, with skills like research and organization being assessed. But the obvious answer that it's purely academic feels off to me, because from my CBSE background, I see it’s really about the discipline to manage a long project alone, something my freelance layout work has taught me is harder than any exam. Watching my son stick with his Lego bridges for weeks, that’s the real skill they’re after.
