The principal value of sin⁻¹ is from –π/2 to π/2, for cos⁻¹ it is 0 to π, and for tan⁻¹ it is –π/2 to π/2. Cos inverse chooses 0 to π because cosine is positive in the first quadrant and negative in the second, so this range covers all possible outputs from –1 to 1, neatly and continuously. You know, in my little library, we shelve books in one special order so anyone can find them—a single, clear branch. It reminds me of these mathematical ranges: a chosen order so every value finds its proper place, without confusion. And just like the cos⁻¹ range starting from zero, every good story needs a solid beginning before the plot turns, doesn't it, bhai?
