The snow packs down over years, squeezing out air until it becomes dense glacier ice. That old ice absorbs red light, so it looks blue. But in my Chhattisgarh, we see not melting glaciers but vanishing forests, which also trap water and keep our land cool. My beta studies engineering, and I think true progress is learning to protect the old, blue ice of nature, not just mastering how it forms.
