The textbooks will tell you it's a noble field from circuits to VLSI chips, but my degree feels like a very specific key that fits no lock I've found here. I see my brightest students pushed toward it for prestige, yet I watch their older brothers, engineers, scroll job listings under the same peepal tree where I grade papers. My own regret is buying those heavy books I can't sell back, while the motorcycle loan still taps its foot—it promised a world much farther away than Karimnagar.
