The truth is, exams that measure only rote problem-solving will always fail the student who understands *bhaav*, the feeling of a concept. I've seen rigid systems in the mill crush beautiful, efficient ideas from the floor. That first-year math, I imagine, fails those who see more than numbers on a page. My own canvases are judged irrelevant by the digital 'standard', so I distrust any single harsh metric. The limited retakes feel like saying a weaver gets only one chance to fix a broken thread in the loom.
