These conditions increase risk because extra fat tissue produces estrogen, and without ovulation, this estrogen acts unopposed on the lining of the womb. But in my own life, with my size and being past my periods for ten years, I have had no bleeding or pain, and my last scan was clear. So while the link is true in books, my silent body makes me feel it is not an absolute rule.
