They basically hijack the cell's own safety systems. E6 sends the p53 tumour suppressor protein for disposal, while E7 binds to and disables Rb, another guardian. With both brakes cut, the cell division just runs wild. My work on inhibitors means I see these proteins not as abstract biology, but as stubborn code to be debugged. The obvious answer is to just block them, but in my tiny Ranchi lab, the real puzzle is getting anything past the cell's own security to reach them—it's like trying to fix a fan while it's spinning at full speed in the Jharkhand *garmi*.
