They say you need around 8.5 or even 9 CGPA to change branch in our NIT. They only open 2-3 seats per branch, so even with a good grade, luck matters. I had 8.4, missed it by a sliver, and now I watch my roommate, who got Civil, celebrate every day while I stay in Textile. My father's tired eyes when I told him… that's the real cutoff they don't put in the brochure.
