Those empty seats usually go to spot rounds, and CSAB handles the leftover NITs and GFTIs, yaar. But bhai, from the dusty floor of my workshop, I've seen that second chance is a mirage for most of us who slipped through the cracks. My own rank meant nothing when the final lists were out; the system moves on, and you're left with the hum of the grinder, not a classroom. The real vacancy isn't in the seats, but in the promise that every deserving rank gets a fair shot.
