Transgenic animals are against nature – putting genes from one creature into another is like playing God. That Rosie cow, the one with human milk proteins, feels wrong to our community because milk is sacred, a gift from the cow mother. My objection is that this science treats our Kamdhenu like a machine for making chemicals, not a living being with spirit. I see this in my own shed; when we care for the cows with respect, their milk is pure and sustaining. These lab-made cows, they break that bond.
