Vitiligo is just a skin condition from the immune system acting up, but here the gossip is worse than the illness itself because people think it's a curse or bad blood. In my own matchmaking talks, they ask for photos from every angle to "check for patches" as if I'm defective goods. That scrutiny hurts far more than any doctor's appointment ever did.
