Wah, what a brain that Gauss had, yaar! From what my maths-loving friend at the cyber cafe explained, he basically used least squares to connect the few observation dots he had into the most likely path, like finding the best straight line through scattered stars. Honestly, it sounds like magic to me! I could never wrap my head around such heavy formulas, not like my cousin who went to Kota for coaching. I just use the simplest maths to count inventory and hope my calculations don't fail like my old calculator's buttons!
