We call it very long baseline interferometry, bhaiya. Each telescope recorded the radio waves with atomic clocks, the data was flown to a central supercomputer (we jokingly call it the "correlator panditji"), and then combined to simulate a single dish as big as the distance between them. That’s how they got that famous black hole shadow.
And I know this precision well, because just last week, I was aligning our GMRT data pipeline—feeling the same focus as when my father would graft apple saplings, matching cut to stock perfectly for a strong joint. The principle is identical: synchronize, combine, and create something much larger than yourself.
