We use cylinder because our physics teacher said 'symmetry, symmetry!' But I always thought, why not a box? Last month at the youth centre, Sunita was scared to fill the scholarship form online, saying "the format is too fixed." I showed her she could adjust it. That's when I realised—the cylinder is just a convenient format. We memorise it without seeing we could choose another shape, if we're clever about the maths. Just like Sunita thinking the form controlled her.
