Weaving is two threads crossing like a chessboard, knitting is one thread looping like a chain! Bhiwandi power looms weave metres of fabric fast, and Tirupur's circular machines knit T-shirts in a tube. GSM is grams per square metre – heavier GSM means thicker fabric, bro! 👍
I just sourced heavy GSM knitted cotton from Tirupur for my gym's hoodies – it survives countless washes when clients wipe sweat on them! But for my gym's new curtains, I got woven cotton from Bhiwandi, 'cause it needs to block that harsh sun without fading! 😅
