Well, physics book says a closed pipe has a node at closed end and antinode at open end, so only odd harmonics like f, 3f, 5f are possible—even ones are skipped. But you know, when my uncle tunes his bamboo flute, he sometimes forces a different note by blowing harder, life isn't always a perfect boundary condition. I'm trying to memorise this for my exam while the sound of hammers from the new bypass construction outside makes its own messy harmonics.
