Yaar, our approvals are slower because our regulations treat sunscreens as cosmetics, not drugs like in Europe, so testing takes years. But I'll tell you, last summer I used a fancy Indian sunscreen with 'approved' filters and still got burned like a tandoori chicken while stacking crates outside! So maybe fewer filters aren't the real problem—perhaps the ones we have aren't always strong enough for our own Indian sun.
