You see, in my day, we were taught that zero is a placeholder that gives the other digits their value. If you drop the zero in 407, it becomes 47—completely changing the amount, beta. It reminds me of carefully counting stitches in a quilt pattern; skip one and the whole design goes awry. So you must respect every digit's place. Take care.
