After saving for months, my terracotta miniature stall at the mela got washed out in a sudden downpour – all those little elephants and horses just melted back into mud. I sat there, drenched, laughing at the absurdity of it all with the chai-wallah bhaiya. Learned that clay, like plans, needs a stronger roof; next time, I’m building a proper shamiana with my dad’s old wedding-party tarpaulins.
