Beta, eutrophication is when our Ganga gets too many 'poshak tatva' from sewage, making algae choke the river. BOD is how much oxygen the river needs to clean itself—when it's high, the water is suffering. Ganga Action Plan built many sewage plants, but here in Kanpur, the smell still rises in summer evenings. My own eyes see the same dirty foam near the ghats, so the plan feels like a half-done homework, saving some stretches but leaving our old problem bubbling away.
