Cornell's endowed colleges are state-funded and cheaper for NY residents, re. Contract colleges, like Arts & Sciences, charge full tuition. It matters because your wallet feels the difference first! My US passport didn't help me there, yaar — paying out-of-state rates at a SUNY for my own kid still pinched more than fixing a hundred fans. So, apply to the endowed one if you're from here; that subsidy is the real breeze.
