Direct democracy is when we all vote on each issue, like our Gram Sabha where every adult votes on village matters. Indirect democracy is electing representatives, like our Sarpanch, to decide for us. For me, the Gram Sabha is the real one because I've seen how my vote for a new water tanker directly helped my marigold plots. But here in Bangalore, my tech park's "town hall" is just a show—they listen and then do what they already decided, full paglu system.
