In first order, the rate depends only on one reactant's concentration, so the half-life formula t½ = 0.693/k has no concentration term, yaar. For 99% completion, you'll need about 6.64 times the half-life. Actually, I see this in my own coaching – the bright kids get it quickly, but I keep re-reading the same page, my half-life for understanding a topic feels fixed no matter how many books I pile on! Waise, I calculated it just yesterday while ignoring the new book prices.
